Bikes Andorra

Cycling is a sport with deep roots in Andorra and the country is well known as a biker’s paradise. Some of the best European Cycling events, like Tour de France or Vuelta de España, have ridden through Andorra for their mountain stages. The mountains have hosted the best riders worldwide in downhill or cross-country in the MTB World Cup organized by the UCI.

Andorra is also home to the best international cyclists, who benefit from a high-altitude natural training environment. You will often see them training with their teams or on their own. Over 50 top professional cyclists live here: Purito Rodriguez, Julian Alaphilippe, Simon and Adam Yates, Egan Bernal, Dan Martin, Rohan Dennis, Enric Mas, and many others.

In Andorra, there are also three Andorran Bike brands,- which design,- and test bikes in our mountains. Commençal is the most veteran,- with offices in USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Chile and Mexico, while designing their award-winning bikes in the little Andorran town of Erts. Their specialties are: downhill, enduro and e-bikes. Their sponsorship of top riders have propelled their brands to the top rankings in their class. Kanaola Bikes personalize, design, assemble and test their bikes here in Andorra and specialize in triathlon, MTB, road and gravel bikes. Furthermore, Forestal is making its mark in the e-bikes market and is planning to manufacture their bikes in Andorra as engineering masterpieces.

Tough mountain passes, spectacular landscapes and its natural heritage make Andorra very attractive for cycling. There are also less challenging routes more suitable for inexperienced bikers new to the scene. The sunny but not too hot weather is a perfect climate to enjoy this southern European country in the Pyrenees.
