This is the most ambitious goal that the country has ever undertaken for organizing a sporting event after a solid track record in the field of snow sports and not only.

The Andorran Federation has taken decisive steps in this direction for the past two decades, from hosting FIS races to various European Ski Cups and the 2019 Ski World Cup Finals.

The successful organization of the Finals of the FIS Ski World Cup in 2019 is the best demonstration of the country’s capabilities in support for the candidacy of the World Cup which is now being prepared.

Beyond skiing, the country has demonstrated its organizational know how with other institutional events such as the recently held Iberoamerican Summit or competitions such as the Small States Games, World Trials competitions or Mountain Biking Cups.

Andorra has a year to convince the 17 members of the FIS council that its project is more solid and attractive than that presented by three other ski stations with a long tradition, such as Crans-Montana, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Narvik.

The World Championship is a perfect opportunity to internationally position the Andorra brand and strengthen its space in the very competitive snow industry. It is a two-week event that brings together hundreds of skiers, thousands of companions and an avalanche of journalists who place the competition in the media field.

We are cheering for Andorra to gain the Alpine Skiing World Championships for 2027, and you?
