It will be the first time that Andorra hosts the Ibero-American Summit, whose motto will be “Innovation for sustainable development. Goal 2030”.
Andorra, as the Pro Tempore Secretariat of the Ibero-American Conference, will host the XXVII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will take place in a mixed online and traditional format, considering the Covid-19 prevention measures required by the health situation in the region.
The meeting will bring together the Heads of State and Government of the 22 Ibero-American countries. Only a small group of states will visit Andorra in person: Spain and Portugal, by proximity, the country that hosted the Summit the previous year, Guatemala, and the one that has the opportunity of organizing the next editions, the Dominican Republic.
The Ibero-American Summit will focus on innovation for sustainable development and post-COVID-19 recovery, with special emphasis on innovation in the health, social, economic, and environmental aspects.
The Summit event is being organized in Soldeu, an exclusive ski resort at nearly 2,000 altitude in Andorra. This spectacular location with magnific mountain views is overlooking the ski slopes of Grandvalira and is a very popular ski destination in winter, greeting visitors from all over the world.
